Browse/Search Product Items to View:
There are two main ways for our customers to view/browse goods from the HomePage:
• Search Product allows you to enter any keyword to locate all products that may contain such wording: for example laptop, fridge, TV, LCD, Digital, DECT, Sony, etc. Once entered, all product items containing that keyword will be displayed: you may proceed to browse the resulting list and/or individual item …
• Browse Product is the traditional route for displaying product items. By selecting your product category, you work your way along the tree-menu structure to narrow your choice: for example, Home Entertainment -> Digital Televisions -> etc. Again, you may browse the resulting list and/or individual item …
Regardless of search method used, you will be presented with a full product listing matching your chosen preference.
Compare Product Items:
From the product listings, you may wish to compare two or more similar items for variations in their pricing, technical capabilities (functionality) and physical characteristics: typically used when choosing between several manufacturers of similar products for example, 21” LCD Televisions, etc.
To prepare an item for compare, simply ‘click’ and add: remember, with further comparisons, don’t forget to ‘delete’ unnecessary items from the list.
Viewing Individual Product Items:
Wherever you see a product item, you can view that items technical and physical details by ‘clicking’ on its picture and/or description. From here you’ll also be able to review its:
• pricing structure - the current price and the next price break dependant on quantity sold
• number of registered ‘Alert’ buyers - how many potential customers are also interested in buying this product
• number of offer days left – how many days remains before this product is removed from offer
• product availability – how many days, on average, it will take to ship the item. This will depend on our individual stock and availability
You may also choose:
• Accessories – choose from the listed accessories for that item without searching further: for example, when buying an LCD Television you’ll be offered to select a scart lead or for a printer, a USB cable, etc.
• Tell Friend – email up to three friends the products details for their perusal, with your own comments attached
• Alert – register an alert to let PBP automatically notify you by email and/or SMS text¹ of a pending price change for that item. You can, currently, register to be alerted when the products volume sales are within a percentage of the next price break … more options will become available soon: you must ‘Login’ to your account prior to register – see ‘My Account’ below for further details
• Buy/Add to Cart – of course, by selecting this option the item will be added to your Basket without you necessarily buying just yet
View Basket:
All products items you have chosen to Buy/Add to Cart will be listed here. For each item you’ll see its full description, current price, quantity and the VAT portion – vat is only applicable for those customers vat-registered. At any stage you may increase/decrease an items quantity (a zero quantity will remove the item from your basket), or continue to Browse/Search to add additional items to your existing basket.
Once your basket is complete, you only need to progress in buying your goods by selecting, ‘Checkout’.
Checkout:
Before gaining access to ‘Checkout’, you must be logged into ‘My Account’. If not already done so, PBP will request your username/password combination.
Checkout means the step before payment. Here you will be presented with your full order displaying all items with full description, their current price, quantity and delivery charge.
Also displayed will be any ‘Account Balance’ previously credited to your account – see ‘My Account’ below for further details. Before any payment is made to PBP, your current Account Balance credit will be automatically deducted from the invoice total!
Finally, we’ll ask you to ‘tick’ our agreed ‘Terms and Conditions’ for sale, and then confirm your preferred ‘Billing’ and ‘Delivery’ Addresses as predefined when setting up your, ‘My Account’ details. Once you’ve finalised your order you simply click ‘Confirm’ whereby, PBP pass just your name and address details into the secure, HSBC Payment Processor.
During the ‘checkout’ stage you may review, amend or even remove items from your basket!
Please note:

HSBC Payment Processor: – Renowned Security and Reliability!
The HSBC Payment Processor will once again ask you to confirm your ‘Name’, ‘Billing’ and ‘Delivery’ Address details as passed by PBP from within your stored, ‘My Account’ section.
It is only now that HSBC will actually ask you for your Credit/Debit card details in order to make full payment. Once successfully processed, you’ll exit HSBC and seamlessly return to PBP where your fully completed order will be displayed for you to print and continue – a copy of your order will automatically be sent to the email address predefined within your ‘My Account’ section.
The ‘Delivery Tracking’ consignment note number will follow later once your goods have been despatched.
Remember, PBP never ask for, maintain or store customer Credit/Debit card details!
My Account:
Before a customer may purchase product items from PBP or enter our regular Competitions, you must hold a basic account. To setup your account we’ll request that you enter your secure username/password, followed by an email address through which PBP will always electronically communicate. Once setup, you’ll be sent an email requesting you to ‘login’ to PBP via a weblink using our supplied security code.
On successful completion, you may;
• Change Password – you’ll be asked for your old password and then to enter the new password followed by confirmation. Password changes mean you’ll be auto-logged out
• Change email address – you’ll be asked for the old address followed by entry of the new email address with confirmation. Again, you’ll be auto-logged out
• Change ‘Billing’ and ‘Delivery’ Addresses – you’ll enter and modify both your Billing and Delivery addresses here: you may even setup multiple addresses and choose the current ones!
• ‘Account Balance’ – here you’ll see your current, account balance credits. When you buy goods before the end of their ‘sell period’ and the prices drop, any voucher credits due will be automatically placed here
• View Orders – this allows customers to view/print past orders placed with PBP over a defined audit period
• Logout – as it suggests, you may log out of your account but not necessarily out of PBP. You can continue to use PBP but, must ‘login’ to your account to purchase goods
Remember, you must be logged into your ‘My Account’ before you can purchase goods from PBP!
Competition:
The PBP Competition will be available to Account Customers only and run on a regular basis. The product offered will be clearly identified both pictorial and with a brief description. Once you have logged into your 'My Account', all customers have the opportunity to answer the Competition question by sending a text content Pbp A, B or C to 60030, where A, B or C are the potential answers to the current question. When we receive your answer, PBP will respond with a reply text as follows;
• PBP Competition: We're sorry! – your answer received was incorrect, you may wish to try again
• PBP Competition: Congratulations! – your answer received was correct and you'll be automatically entered into the Competition draw
• PBP Competition: No active competition – your text has been received but there's no active Competition currently running. Please note, you will still be charged!
Please note, you must select your correct Network Operator Code (vodafone, O2, T-Mobile, etc.) from the drop-down list provided from within 'My Account'.
All correct answers received by PBP will be forwarded to our automatic, random answer picker within two hours after the Competition has closed. The winning customer will be notified by both email and our HomePage, showing only surname and county of residence. The Competition product will be despatched within 24 hours of such notice.
Please note, all PBP Competitions clearly show the time remaining before closure. Should you send your answer once the competition has closed, you will still be charged and your answer rejected by PBP: always observe the time duration remaining!

Should you have any doubts about using the PBP website, please call our sales team on the number provided within. A member of the team can either offer you assistance or create your secure customer account on your behalf, and then hand you immediate access and control.
Delivery Information:
Make use of our free ‘online delivery tracking’ service! Accessed from the HomePage, simply select your designated couriers’ weblink (currently Parcel Force and/or Royal Mail special delivery), and then enter your delivery order consignment note number as supplied by PBP. It’s that simple to track your delivery!
Also displayed here, are the current standard delivery charges and their associated days for delivery.
